Pulstream is a device for self-monitoring of the heart conditions.
An infra-red emitter and sensor register the pulse wave at a finger. The pulse wave signal is then processed to produce relevant parameters:
- The heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV indicates tension, stability and balance of the autonomic nervous system)
- Durations of the four phases of PW (indicate tonus and strength of the heart muscle)
- Position of the reflected wave (indicates elasticity of blood vessels)
An overall score, which indicates the and the condition of the cardial system is presented to the user. The collected data can be transmitted to the user's physician for professional evaluation.
